Green Events & Environmental Protection

In July 2007 EventSound Pty Ltd became the first Audiovisual Production Company in Australia to implement a valid carbon offset program. This forms part of our strategy to address environmental impact issues, including greenhouse gas emissions.

The voluntary introduction of this program was an important contribution toward the future of our environment, it was encouraged by enquiries from our Clients & the need was highlighted to us both on a global level through the "Live Earth" Concerts & on a local level through the organisation of Sustainability Festivals & Environment awareness Live Music events by local councils.

EventSound is committed to this & we lodge a Carbon Offset donation to cover our own calculated annual waste & energy consumed from the daily running of the Company annually. We are also able to calculate the consumption of energy for client events on request & in line with this can lodge a Carbon Offset donation to make the impact of each of your events Carbon neutral.

Carbon Offset collections are used to purchase verified emission reduction (VER) credits from Approved Greenhouse Friendly Abatement Projects. These include such initiatives as forestry activities, energy efficiency measures, waste diversion and recycling and generation of renewable energy.

Here at EventSound we take our commitment to minimising any kind of environmental impact of our activities very seriously.

Our latest New Van for everyday events is a VW 1.9L TDI Diesel Transporter offering the lowest fuel economy & CO2 emissions in its class, it was awarded the best greenhouse rating & lowest air pollution rating . These factors were an important consideration in its purchase.

As part of our commitment to minimising our impacts on the environment, we have adopted an integrated approach to the 'greenhouse' issue by focusing on improving efficiency and reducing emissions through a range of initiatives including:

Implementation of eco-efficiency initiatives in company premises; this includes energy efficient light globes, waste minimisation and recycling strategies.

Using new latest technology equipment; this is more efficient with lower power draw than older products, these items include LED Lighting technology & digital power amplifiers, & other products utilising switch mode power supply technology.

Energy efficient lighting design for events: You can have a dynamic lighting display using LED Technology & reduce the power consumption of the event by over 400%

"We see our Green initiatives as a step towards creating a sustainable environment. This is a global issue requiring a global response and we are very keen to play our role in this, although we are a small player in the scheme of things if everyone was to take such an initiative then we could accomplish great things.
